Our luxurious houseboats have been owned and run for three generations by the Mohammed Wangnoo & Brothers.
And are delight in offering colonial style services, catering to your every need and helping you to get the best from our beautiful country. We assure you a cozy and comfortable stay with us.
A splash of luxury on our floating palaces The accommodation is too magnificent to be called a houseboat!. This luxury is affordable. The WANGNOO HERITAGE HOSUEBOATS, surrounded by thousands of flowers ; lotus, roses and variety of others, are truly made for emperors. Each of our houseboats is approximately 50 yards long. On one end contains three to four bedrooms fit for royalty – each with bathroom and dressing room and all the conveniences necessary for private matters and elegant dressing.
Each room has a hand-crafted ceiling and hand-carved cedar paneled walls. The floors and corridor are thickly covered with traditional and colorful Kashmir rugs and carpets. At the other end of the "palace" there is a huge living room and dining room with similar proportions. Each of these is again totally paneled with hand-carved cedar…this time with ornate designs backed by colored lights providing dramatic effects with the main lights turned off.Both rooms are furnished with beautifully carved Victorian furniture.

We have, once again, experienced the magic and relaxation of the beautiful surroundings of Nageen Lake. As even, the hospitality and service given by the family members and Mr. Ahad have been second to none. These places we have visited before and after years contact and many visits to Kashmir, we have been taken to two completely new places Baramullah and also on the fabulous old Mughal Road. We hope to be able to return to the valley and enjoy seeing our lovely Wangnoo Family again INSHALLAH. Thank you all for so many very happy memories we will always treasure from the past 24 years. It’s my 2nd visit to Kashmir in the past 4 years. Both the times I have stayed here. I don’t wish to stay at Taj or Lalit. I feel like home during the stay. People are very good here. Houseboat Captain Mr. Ahad cool man working here for the past 30 years. Here only simply the best I have met during my 19 years at travelling in Travel Trade.
